Amber Kelly, LCSW (SW# 9825) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in work with adults, children, and families. She maintains a private practice in Gainesville, FL, where she has lived and worked for the last 10 years.
Education
Amber earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and went on to earn a Masters in Social Work from Florida State University just four years later. In addition to her private practice, she has worked as a Medical Social Worker at Shands at the University of Florida, as well as a Senior Clinician with Meridian Behavioral HealthCare. Amber also volunteers weekly to co-teach a course in Mind Body Stress Reduction to incarcerated women at Lowell Correctional Institution in Lowell, FL. Amber is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree with Smith College School for Social Work in order to further her clinical training.
Experience
Amber’s experience in the medical setting includes emergency, intensive care unit, and pediatric Social Work. In the outpatient counseling setting she has experience working with adults, children, and families.
Though treatment approaches of course depend on the needs of the client, Amber is most experienced with mindfulness based, psychodynamic, trauma focused, and hypnotherapeutic approaches. Please contact her if you would like to set up an appointment or have questions.
